7 Days Chimps and Gorilla Trekking
Highlights: chimp trekking, gorilla trekking, guided nature walk
Day 1- Arrival at Entebbe
Arrival at Entebbe airport and met by our tour guide. You will be transferred to your accommodation in either Kampala or Entebbe for an overnight.

Day 2- Ngamba Island
After your breakfast, you will be met by our representative, and transfer to the Lake Victoria Shore for a speed boat to Ngamba Island for a visit to the Jane Goodall Ngamba Chimpanzee Sanctuary on Ngamba Island. You will spend the afternoon at the chimp sanctuary where you will participate in bird watching, spot necked otter counting and other wildlife. You will also observe chimps as they return, feed, and prepare their nests. Later in the evening return to your accommodation for overnight.

Day 3- Drive to Kibale Forest
After an early breakfast, travel to Kibale Forest with a stopover in Fort portal for lunch This forest is home to over 13 species of primates which include the Chimpanzees. In the evening you can opt to take a nocturnal forest walk in the forest. Here you will see the nocturnal primates like the Bush babies, Galagos and pottos. After return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Day 4- Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale National Park
Wake up early in the morning and proceed to the park offices for a briefing before starting the Chimpanzee trekking. You will also see other primates like the Black & White Colobus monkey, Red tailed monkey, Vervet monkeys and Baboons. There are also different bird species and butterfly species in the park. Return to the lodge in time for a hearty breakfast. Later in the afternoon, you will have the opportunity of a guided walk-through Bigodi Swamp. This swamp is a home to approximately 137 bird species and birding is the major activity. You will see bird species like the Great Blue Turaco, Black Billed Turaco, and many more.

Day 5- Kyambura Gorge and drive to Bwindi
After early morning breakfast, proceed to Kyambura gorge, situated on the Northeastern side of the park for chimp trekking. Here the chimps are habituated. You will also see other primates like the Black & White Colobus monkey, Red tailed monkey, Velvet monkeys and Baboons. After the trekking, you will be driven to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park through the Kabale plains for an overnight. Arrive in the evening in time for dinner.

Day 6- Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
Wake up early to get ready for Gorilla tracking. You will be provided with lunch boxes, and you need to carry all the necessary gear for tracking which may take between 2 and 5 hours. In the afternoon after tracking, you may relax at the camp and enjoy the beautiful green scenery of the forest or go for a village walk and visit the local Batwa Community.

Day 7- Back to Kampala (9-10hrs)
After early morning breakfast, with parked lunch, drive back to Kampala through the green plains of Kabale. or we can arrange an extra night for you in either Entebbe or Kampala at an extra fee.
