10 Days Best of Uganda Wildlife

The ultimate tour of the Pearl of Africa, this spectacular 10-day adventure includes exciting activities and visits to places of interest as well as the opportunity to see iconic wildlife species in their natural habitat in some of Uganda’s breathtakingly beautiful national parks.
Day 1: Arrival Entebbe
On arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your accommodation (Bed and breakfast) either in Entebbe or Kampala for overnight.
Day 2: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park (4-5hrs)
An early morning pick-up from your overnight accommodation in Kampala and proceed to Murchison falls National Park, in the North Western part of Uganda, with a stop over at the Ziwa Rhino Santuary. You will cross the ferry to Paara, at the top of the falls where you will be able to see the River Nile. Later in the afternoon you will reach your accommodation and relax.

Day 3: Murchison Falls Tour - Game Drive
After early morning breakfast, you will head for a game drive to the plains on the northern bank of the river Nile where you have chances of viewing Lions, Giraffe, Buffalo and Elephant as well as several antelope species. In the afternoon, go for a boat trip to the foot of Murchison Falls or down the river to the delta where the Nile empties into Lake Albert. You may see huge Nile Crocodiles, big Pods of Hippos and other wildlife like different bird species like Shoebill Stork, Red Fronted Bee Eater, Blue Manted Coucal and the Silverbird.

Day 4- Murchison Falls - Kibale (6-7hrs)
Early morning game drive to the Top of Murchison Falls where you can have a close look at the falls, later head for Kibale Forest National Park which is a large protected rainforest with the highest number of primates in Africa.

Day 5- Chimpanzee tracking
Wake up early in the morning and proceed to the park offices for a briefing before starting the Chimpanzee tracking. You will also see other primates like the Black & White Colobus monkey, Red tailed monkey, Vervet monkeys and Baboons. There are also different bird species and butterfly species in the park. Return to the lodge in time for a hearty breakfast. Later in the afternoon, you will have the opportunity of a guided walk through Bigodi Swamp. This swamp is a home to approximately 137 bird species and birding is the major activity. You will see bird species like the Great Blue Turaco, Black Billed Turaco, and many more.

Day 6- Kibale - Semliki Valley Wildlife Reserve (2-3hrs)
Proceed to Semliki Valley, known as the “Garden of Eden” after your breakfast. You will have your picnic lunch at the hot water springs arriving in the evening.
In the late evening, have a game drive where you see different animal species like the Uganda Kob, Waterbuck, Reed Buck, several monkey species as well as lots of bird opportunities.

Day 7- Semliki Valley
After breakfast, you will go and visit a local community in the foothills of the Rwenzori. The people there will be entertaining you with a variety of cultural dances. After you will head back for lunch and later go for a boat trip on Lake Albert in search for the Shoebill returning to the Lodge in the evening.

Day 8- Semliki - Queen Elizabeth National park (4-5hrs)
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth arriving at the park in the afternoon. After lunch, head to the park for a late evening game drive at the kasenyi track. Here, you will see Uganda Kobs, buffaloes, and some lions.

Day 9- Queen Elizabeth National Park
After early morning breakfast, head to the south circuit in the Ishaha sector of the park. The main attraction is the tree climbing lions that are regularly seen. You also see great herds of buffalo and Uganda Kob, the Topi and many more. After lunch, go for an afternoon boat trip on Kazinga Channel. Here, you will see Hippos huff, Buffalos, different species of birds like the Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans, Great and Long-Tailed Cormorants, Open-Billed Stork, African Jacana, Malachite and Pied Kingfishers on the shores.

Day 10- Queen Elizabeth-Kampala (7-8hrs)
Wake up early for a return journey to Kampala in time for your flight back home, or we can arrange an extra night for you in either Entebbe or Kampala at an extra fee.
