9 Days Best of Uganda Safari

The ultimate tour of the Pearl of Africa, this spectacular 9-day adventure includes exciting activities and visits to places of interest as well as the opportunity to see iconic wildlife species in their natural habitat in some of Uganda’s breathtakingly beautiful national parks.
Day 1: Arrival Entebbe

On arrival at the airport, you will be welcomed by our guide and transferred to your accommodation (Bed and breakfast) either in Entebbe or Kampala for overnight.
Day 2- Kampala to Bwindi National Park (9-10hrs)

Picked up from your accommodation in Kampala and proceed to Northwestern Uganda through the Kibale plains, which have beautiful green scenery, to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is best known for its mountain gorillas. You will have stop overs at the equator and in Mbarara town for lunch.

Day 3- Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Wake up early to get ready for Gorilla tracking. You will be provided with lunch boxes, and you need to carry all the necessary gear for tracking which may take between 2 and 5 hours. In the afternoon after tracking, you may relax at the camp and enjoy the beautiful green scenery of the forest or go for a village walk and visit the local Batwa Community.

Day 4- To Queen Elizabeth (3-4hrs)
After early morning breakfast, with parked lunch, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park through the plains of Kabale. You will arrive at the park in the afternoon in time for an afternoon boat cruise along the Kazinga channel. Here, you will see Hippo’s huff, Buffalos, different species of birds like the Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans, Great and Long-Tailed Cormorants, Open-Billed Stork, African Jacana, Malachite, and Pied Kingfishers on the shores.

After early morning breakfast, head to the south circuit in the Ishaha sector of the park. The main attraction is the tree climbing lions that are regularly seen. You also see great herds of buffalo and Uganda Kob, the Topi and many more. In the afternoon drive to Kibale Forest National Park through Fort portal arriving late in the evening.

Day 6- Chimp tracking

Wake up early in the morning and proceed to the park offices for a briefing before starting the Chimpanzee tracking. You will also see other primates like the Black & White Colobus monkey, Red tailed monkey, Vervet monkeys and Baboons. There are also different bird species and butterfly species in the park. Return to the lodge in time for breakfast. Later in the afternoon, you will have the opportunity of a guided walk-through Bigodi Swamp. This swamp is a home to approximately 325 bird species and birding is the major activity. You will see bird species like the Great Blue Turaco, Black Billed Turaco, and many more.

Day 7- To Murchison falls (6-7hrs)

After early morning breakfast, drive to Murchison falls National Park with parked lunch through Fort portal arriving at the park late in the evening.

Day 8- Murchison Falls National Park
After early morning breakfast, you will head for a game drive to the plains on the northern bank of the river Nile where you have chances of viewing Lions, Giraffe, Buffalo, and Elephant as well as several antelope species. In the afternoon, go for a boat trip to the foot of Murchison Falls or down the river to the delta where the Nile empties into Lake Albert. You may see huge Nile Crocodiles, big Pods of Hippos, and other wildlife like different bird species like Shoebill Stork, Red Fronted Bee Eater, Blue Manted Coucal, and the Silver bird.

Early morning breakfast, and then proceed to Budongo forest for a half day Primate walk at Kaniyo Pabidi. During the walk, you may see the Chimpanzee, which is the main attraction here, Black, and white Colobus monkey, Red tailed monkey, Baboons, Grey cheeked mangabeys. You will also be able to see different bird species in the forest and enjoy the good green scenery of the forest. After the walk, drive to Masindi for lunch and later transfer to Kampala.
You will either head to Entebbe for your flight back home, or we can arrange an extra night for you at an extra fee.
